Storyline
Anek is a political thriller and focuses on Joshua, who is on a mission to unite the country. The region where Joshua plans to get a peace accord signed with Tiger Sangha is conflict-ridden and as Joshua goes on his mission he learns that Aido, a member of an armed separatist group, may be one of the leaders vying for that role. He gets told about Aido’s prowess in boxing by the people the Jharkhandi fighter has targeted with her rise from being bullied because she is dark-skinned and from an oppressed class. Aido aims to bring home gold for India in boxing at the upcoming Olympics so that people will finally recognize her as Indian. Will Joshua be able to pull off his coup or will Aido’s dream still not be worth anything despite her being a national hero?
Storyline
Anek is a political film that follows Joshua, an agent whose goal is to unite the divided nation. His mission takes him to the northeastern region of India where he meets Aido, a ferocious boxer who has been labeled as the ‘boxing champion’ by her boxing association. Her ambitious goal is to bring back a gold medal for her country, in hopes of one day being fully accepted as an Indian. The story throws up a number of tough questions about what it takes to live where there is so much strife and negativity going on around you!
